Roundup of New Toolbar Announcments: Lab Pixies and Haute Secure

A variety of new toolbars have been announced this week, and we have immediately incorporated them into our directory. They include:

An exciting announcement for gadget lovers, with the launch of the Lab Pixies toolbar. Lab Pixies accompanying press release, notes that the toolbar will "deliver users easy access to the entire LabPixies gadget gallery, including dozens of cool gadgets ranging from games, music and other entertainment windows, to utilities such as search tools and calculators."

The release also notes that LabPixies gadgets are already available for personalized homepages like iGoogle, Windows Live, Netvibes, and Pageflakes and can be embedded in blogs and web pages. LabPixies has built a strong brand, having created and powered gadgets for YouTube, Flickr, Yahoo! Music, Warner Bros. Records, New York Times, and more.


CNet reports that a new company, Haute Secure is "offering a free beta version of its safe surfing toolbar for Internet Explorer that blocks malware from downloading onto your desktop. Firefox support is expected soon." The toolbar is available here.
